The Meaning Behind Our Weird Name
If you really need to know, Njord Star is a Norse mythology inspired pun.
Njord is pronounced "Nyord" and in Norse mythology he is the the god of the wind and of the sea and its riches. His aid was invoked in seafaring and in hunting, and he was considered the god of “wealth-bestowal,” or prosperity.
When you put Njord and Star together, you get the pun referring to the North Star historically used as a reliable way to guide ships before the compass was invented.
Just as the North Star and the Norse god Njord, Njord Star is here to help you stir your ship towards prosperity and create the tail winds to get there.
